A Colorful Navy & Blush Wedding

We adore these two! They became instant favorites the moment we met them last fall at their engagement session! Mike & Lauren’s attitudes are infectious and they have a way of keeping you upbeat, smiling and laughing the entire time you’re with them. They threw one of the most beautiful weddings at The Woodlands Inn in Wilkes Barre last weekend. Lauren’s maid of honor, Tiffany, said that only Lauren could have turned this ballroom into a garden. There were flowers hanging from the ceiling and decor in every corner! It was stunning! We loved being a part of this wedding and getting to know this couple. Our goal as wedding photographers is to leave the wedding feeling like guests and good friends of the bride & groom. Sometimes we leave feeling like honorary bridal party members, and their wedding was no exception. We love these two and are so happy that after nearly a decade together, they’re finally married!

Their wedding was a photographer’s dream! Gorgeous florals, beautiful details, stunning locations, and a model couple! Seriously, these two beg to be photographed. But our favorite part of the day might’ve been when we gave them a prompt during our portrait time. We asked them to close their eyes and without talking, think back to their first real date. To go back to the giddy feeling they had when they used to get nervous in front of each other and to feel the rush they experienced when they shared their first kiss. Finally, we told them on the count of three to open their eyes and tell each other, “I love you.” After we said 3, we watched them do this as if it was in slow motion. Lauren’s eyes were so bright and the smiles on each of their faces was so big, but their ‘I love you’s’ were so genuine and pure that it made us smile larger than we could’ve imagined. Capturing that moment with them and for them was such a privilege and made us so happy.
