So we were at a wedding this weekend AS GUESTS! It was a breath of fresh air! We love photographing weddings, but we also love not having to worry about anything other than making sure our dance moves are on point! Josiah’s roommate from college, Justin, married his long time girlfriend, Jordan! They are perfect for each other and it was such an honor to get to witness this beautiful moment in their lives! View some of their photos by clicking HERE! OH and we got to participate in a sparkler exit!! It was so fun to be on the other side! The whole gang was back together! We got to see Josiah’s best friends for the first time since our wedding five months ago! It was the best time and such a great weekend to have a change of pace from the craziness that October brought!
If you’re ever in the Roanoke area, you must go eat at “The Homeplace!” We pulled into the driveway lined with beautiful orange and red trees. Beyond that sat an old white farm house with a wrap around front porch. It was stunning and the view kept getting better! Behind the house was an incredible pond that stretched out into a green field which sat underneath the mountain! It was picturesque! Inside the house, our group of 14 filled the home with laughter as we caught up on life! A family style meal with fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and biscuits and apple butter! We’re pretty sure if we could only eat biscuits and apple butter for the rest of our lives, we’d be pretty happy! Fat…. but happy! We love this group so very much and cannot wait for our next get together!
