A Magical Boho Engagement at Longwood Gardens

Cooper & Anna did a fabulous job at their engagement session yesterday! We know this will be one of our favorite sessions from 2017 because these two really rocked it and they wore the most perfect outfits! Seriously, when we say the outfits take it to a whole new level, we mean it! Their engagement session at Longwood Gardens was nothing short of magical with a boho twist! Anna showed up with a beautiful flower crown and two different dresses. One was a white cocktail dress and the other was a beautiful flowing cranberry colored dress! Both of them absolutely stunning! We have to give Cooper some bonus points, too for dressing up! He wore a tie and everything! They were a little nervous to begin, but after 20 minutes we really got into the swing of things.

We were really excited for this engagement session because we are pretty close with Cooper’s family. Steph’s mom and Cooper’s mom are great friends and Cooper has known Steph practically all of her life. Cooper is also the brother to Carrie, who’s wedding we photographed in Mexico last December! Needless to say, we couldn’t wait for their session!

Their Engagement Story

Cooper & Anna went to Longwood Gardens on an unusually balmy, 70 degree day on the 27th of December. They went with both sides of their family to see the holiday lights and beautiful Christmas displays. When they arrived, Cooper lead everyone down to the Italian fountains. It’s one of the coolest places in the Gardens with a pond on one side and the fountains on the other. Everyone started taking pictures in front of the fountains. Each couple had their turn, until it came time for Cooper & Anna. They stood their in photo position waiting for the photo to happen when suddenly, Cooper turned, got on one knee, and popped the question! It was a complete surprise to Anna! A crowd of thirty or more people began their applause. Then, in a haze of excitement, they toured the rest of the gardens. Cooper & Anna’s other friends and family were there waiting for them, as well. It was a day they’ll never forget, and so what a special place for their engagement photos to happen!

Cooper & Anna, we love you guys and cannot wait for your wedding this November at The Hotel DuPont! It’s going to be a magical day and it’s one we’re really looking forward to! Until then, we hope you enjoy some of our favorite photos from your engagement session!
