Dave & Jane
A Fall Engagement In Valley Forge Park
Dave & Jane are an absolute blast to be around! They were all laughs the entire session, which made our job incredibly easy! We hit it off instantly and they were naturals in front of the camera! They gladly played every ridiculous game and prompt I threw their way! They’re both so sweet, outgoing and just up for anything. We loved just hanging with them for an hour or so and hearing about their wedding and how they got together. They’re getting married in just a few short months this January at Normandy Farm Hotel & Conference Center! Hoping for snow so we can get some gorgeous winter photos. If their wedding is anything like their engagement session, then we’re in for an insanely fun time!
Their Engagement Story: As Told By Jane
We got engaged on December 17th! Dave planned a day in Philly with his mom and sister. We were going to do a number of activities that they used to do around Christmas time. Since we do things like this every so often, I didn’t think anything of it. We started the day by checking out the light show at Macy’s, followed by Dicken’s Village, all of which was crazy to me because I didn’t know anything about it! He was born and raised in Philly, so this was an annual tradition for him and his sister for years. The next stop was Reading Terminal for a bite to eat. His mom got all of us tickets to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra at Wells Fargo (which was pretty fantastic, by the way)!
After the show, Dave was very intent on seeing some 30 foot tall tree lit up in Rittenhouse Square. Dave is definitely the type of guy that doesn’t show a lot of outward emotion, but occasionally he opens up and says/does corny things, so I figured this was just on of those times. We find the tree and for some reason he walks right up to the tree while I stand off to the distance, ready to take a picture of him. But he ushered me over, dropped down to one knee, and… here we are today 🙂
To Dave & Jane:
We had the best time with you guys! Thanks for constantly keeping a smile on our faces the entire session. Normally it’s our job to keep you guys smiling and laughing, but you reciprocated all of the joy. We cannot wait for the wedding and to see you both again! Until then, we hope you enjoy some of our favorites from your engagement session!
