A Winter Engagement in Valley Forge Park

Bobby and Heidi were such a joy to photograph despite the freezing cold temperatures that are causing spring to hold off for a bit longer. That’s right. Today is the first day of spring and snow is falling outside of my window. Not too thrilled about that, if I’m honest. What I am thrilled about is how awesome some of these photos turned out from Bobby and Heidi’s engagement session in Valley Forge Park last weekend! I had so much fun with these two and their little puppy. We cannot wait for their beautiful barn wedding at The Barn on Bridge in Collegeville, PA later this May! We got the lowdown on their inspiration and style choices for the wedding during the shoot. Let me know just say, you’re in for a treat! I am really excited about the look of their wedding and to see them again. They’re both so sweet and easy to chat with and we can’t wait to spend the day with them on their wedding day.

Their Engagement Story: As Told By Heidi

The summer of 2016 will be one that I’ll never forget. I studied abroad in England and looked forward to vacationing in England and Scotland with Bobby and my family for a week afterwards. On the first night of vacation, June 18th, we traveled to a beach that I visited a few weeks prior. I even updated my ‘cover photo’ on Facebook to a scenic picture of the cliff overlooking the northern sea. We walked along a beautiful path overlooking the ocean. I stopped to take a few pictures of the two of us with the lighthouse in the background. As we were getting our pictures taken (I later found out it was a video), Bobby got down on one knee, pulled out the ring made with my great great grandmothers diamond, and asked me to marry him. I didn’t have the slightest clue that he was going to propose in that moment. Of course, I said yes!
