A Foggy Engagement Session at The Philander Chase Knox Estate

This Valley Forge engagement session was the first engagement session we’ve had in a good while. Nick & Courtney’s session near the beautiful Philander Chase Knox Estate is the first session of the fall. We met these two back in the spring to chat about the big plans for their wedding at The Lake House Inn next May. It’s going to be a beautiful day and we have the opportunity to shoot video for them as well! We can’t wait! We also made a little highlight film for them that you can watch here!

Their Proposal Story: As Told By Courtney

I started the day at my aunt’s house for a paint and wine party where I made a wooden plaque for our home. Nick kept calling/texting asking when I’d be home so I called him as soon as we were finished to let him know I was on my way home. When I arrived, there was a bouquet of flowers on the table and a love note to meet him upstairs. At the time, I thought nothing of it because he buys me flowers almost weekly, and always does cute gestures. When I walked up the stairs, the hallway was lined with rose petals leading to Nick and our dog, Ruger.

Ruger was wearing a sign that said, “Mommy, will you marry Daddy?” that a friend of ours made. Nick was there kneeling on one knee with a ring! It was the most perfect proposal for us. Nick knows how much our home and Ruger mean to me. If that wasn’t enough, we decided to meet my mom and sisters at KC Prime in Warrington after for a celebratory drink to announce our engagement. To my surprise, I walked into the bar where I was greeted by our close family and friends. It couldn’t have been a better day and I couldn’t believe he pulled all of this off without me finding out!
