A Foggy Engagement at the Asbury Park Boardwalk

We had such a fun time with Charlie & Janine yesterday at their engagement session in Asbury Park! Rain was in the forecast earlier in the week, but thankfully we lucked out with just a bit of fog. It actually made the entire location a bit more magical by adding some atmosphere and moodiness to the scene. On top of that, Charlie & Janine’s smiles cut right through the dreariness of the day. They were both a bit nervous at first, but after a few minutes they really started to get the hang of it. We walked along the boardwalk, shot in front of some murals and ventured onto the very slippery rocks near the water before ending the night at the restaurant where they had their first date. I’m always so thankful when my couples feel like friends. Charlie & Janine were no exception and talking with them is so incredibly easy. We can’t wait for their wedding later this year!

Their Engagement Story: As Told By Janine

Charlie proposed on September 15, 2018. I was caught totally by surprise! He proposed at the Riverside Gardens Park in Red Bank, NJ. When we got to the park, his plan was to take me down by the river but there was another couple there who were doing their First Look! It was very special for us to watch them and it set Charlie up perfectly for what he was going to say!  After he proposed, he took me to the Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten, where we had our first date. I thought it was just going to be the two of us, but when we arrived all of our family and friends were there to celebrate with us. Two big surprises in one day!
