Valley Forge Engagement Session

TJ + Rebecca

We met TJ + Rebecca at Valley Forge Park near the Philander Chase Knox Estate for their very hot engagement session. It’s one of our favorite places to photograph and on this night in particular, we had some of the best light I’ve seen at a session in a long while. TJ + Rebecca were so great on camera! They laughed nonstop and were so down with all of the ridiculous prompts I threw their way. Their joy and love was tangible and they were so fun to photograph. We’re sure their wedding next month will bring even more smiles and excitement and we can’t wait for that!

Q: How did he propose?

Rebecca: TJ and I got engaged on January 26, 2019 at Dilworth Park in center city Philadelphia. TJ had said he wanted to go ice skating and out to dinner to celebrate our 4 year anniversary. I was completely surprised to find our families and close friends there when we arrived and then turned around to find TJ down on one knee! We all went out to dinner afterwards to celebrate, and it was such a special evening to share with the people closest to us.

Q: What tips do you have for future couples planning their own weddings?

Rebecca: If 2020 has taught us anything, don’t panic if things don’t go as expected. Remember what is important to the both of you and love will prevail.

To TJ + Rebecca:

Thanks so much for trusting us with your photos. We know this is such a crazy year to have a wedding and so we thank you for sticking with us and making us a priority in your journey together as husband and wife. We hope you’ll like back on these photos in the years to come and remember 2020 not as a stressful year, but one that was filled with love and joy. These photos clearly illustrate the joy you have when you’re with one another. We couldn’t stop smiling as we were selecting and editing these photos. We cannot wait for your wedding next month, but until then, we hope you enjoy some of our favorites from your engagement session!
