Joe + Desiree
I met up with Joe + Desiree last week in Cape May, New Jersey for their engagement session. I couldn’t believe how packed it was considering the pandemic, but we kept our distance from others while wandering the town and hitting the beach once everyone left. It’s crazy to me that this was my first trip to the beach this year and it was technically for work. Anyone else ready for 2021 to start and for all this to feel like it was just a dream?
Anyway, Joe + Desiree completely rocked their session! They were so full of joy, smiles and laughter and were totally up for anything. On top of that, we had some really beautiful lighting and great weather despite it being late July. All of these things made photographing them so much fun. It was also so nice to finally meet them face to face.
Joe + Desiree met a few years ago in college in one of their COM classes. Since then they’ve enjoyed many beach trips, Chipotle lunches, and even a Christmas Eve proposal. Joe popped the question December 24 in front of her entire family. She thought he was just showing up for dessert, but little did she know that they’d be spending Christmas as a newly engaged couple.
