A Fall Engagement at Lake Nockamixon

We had such a wonderful time with Tim + Lauren during their engagement session at Lake Nockamixon in Perkasie, PA. The only other time I was at Lake Nockamixon was for a wedding at The Lake House Inn. This entire area is so pretty and we had the best day for it. For those of you who live in the Philly area, this was the November day where we had really warm 75 degree weather. It was amazing! Perfect photography weather, in my opinion. Lauren + Tim did an incredible job at their engagement session. I know Tim is a little reserved when it comes to getting his photo taken, but don’t let him fool you. He enjoyed it from what we could tell. We’re very excited to photograph these two again in just a few short months at the same venue we were married at in 2015, The Barn on Bridge!

How Tim Proposed:

On December 23, 2018, Lauren was feeling “under the weather,” however, Lauren was ultimately convinced to get her nails done that morning and have a little girl time. When Lauren arrived back home, she just wanted to lay on the couch and watch the Eagles playoff game. Tim was surprisingly very eager to get out and get moving. Lauren thought that they were just having a few family members over to see the new house and celebrate the Eve of Christmas Eve. They went several places (all of during which Lauren was amazed that Tim was not commenting on how he wanted to get in and out, he actually wanted to look at EVERYTHING). As they approached the house Tim mentioned that they should have turned the lights on as it was now dark.

They pulled into the driveway, Tim told Lauren that him, Marvin, and Marshmallow (our dogs) did something with the lights that he hadn’t seen yet, but was very excited about. As Lauren walked towards Tim (who adamantly insisted she leave all the groceries and dinner in the car) the lights flicked on. It took her a minute to realize, but then she saw the huge sign hanging off the house that Tim had made of lights reading “Merry Me.” After a long pause and shock starting to set in, Lauren turned and Tim got down on one knee and asked her to marry him!

Lauren barely squeaked out a yes as she heard a camera go off. She turned around and everyone was there! Her dad with his video camera in hand, Aunt Elaine on the steps, and even Aunt Jo behind the trash can! Talk about system overload! Everyone cheered, hugged, and congratulated as the party moved inside where the house was decorated for the engagement and there was tons of food, champagne, and drinks. It was everything that she could have asked for!

To Tim + Lauren:

We loved meeting you guys at your engagement session not long ago and we can’t wait to see you guys again in February! It’s going to be an awesome time! Until then, we hope you enjoy some of our favorites from your engagement session!
