Winter Engagement at Longwood Gardens

Our associate photographers, Ryan and Courtney, met up with Brian and Ashley last month for their winter engagement at Longwood Gardens! It was one of the warmer days that we’ve had in a week or more, but seeing as it was still a bit chilly, they spent a lot of time in the atrium area at Longwood. This is such a great place for winter engagements because of the indoor/outdoor options. Plus the courtyard area still looks so beautiful in the winter! Courtney and Ryan and nothing but awesome things to say about Brian and Ashley, and from the looks of the photos, it seems like they had a ton of fun photographing them. We can’t wait to do it all over again later this year at their wedding.

Q: Tell us the proposal story! How did it all go down?

Brian proposed on September 26, 2021 at Wawa Preserve. This is a park that they frequented during the pandemic. Ashley had been hoping for months he would propose privately and then have a small gathering with loved ones. Despite knowing it was coming soon Ashley was completely surprised when he got down on one knee for a heartfelt proposal. Brian’s sisters and mom decorated Brian and Ashley’s home as well as provided her with several white dresses for her to wear to the engagement party in a few hours (so sweet, cue the water works for Ashley). Brian left enough time for Ashley to get a much needed manicure and have a drink in Media, PA to privately celebrate! Then they celebrated with family and close friends at a luncheon. It was such a special day!

Q: What’s the best part about being engaged?

We are enjoying planning a wedding to celebrate our forever with loved ones!

Q: What’s a piece of advice you have for other couples planning their own weddings?

Brian suggests taking your significant other to try on rings so you know her ring size and style. Ashley says to try to plan early so that you can enjoy the process!
