Doug & Danielle
Longwood Gardens Engagement Session
We loved wandering around Longwood Gardens last weekend with Doug & Danielle. Autumn has finally arrived and although the trees haven’t fully changed colors, you can definitely feel it in the air. It was a bit chilly and so these two held each other close the entire session. We’ve known Danielle since our middle school and high school days. Danielle attended the same high school as Steph and we all belonged to the same church. We’ve gone on multiple mission trips together and shared in some really memorable moments of our high school years on those trips. We were so excited when she reached out to us asking if we could photograph her wedding. Doug is such a great fit for her, too! He’s like the nicest guy you could ever meet. So excited for these two as they continue planning for their wedding at Penn Oaks Country Club in West Chester in May!
Their Engagement Story: As Told By Danielle
I visited Doug in Houston over New Years last year. It was New Year’s Eve and we went for a walk around his neighborhood. I had on a quarter zip and Doug asked if I could put on something a little cuter. I kind of complained but didn’t think too much of it, so I put on a cute sweater. We had a nice walk and when we returned to the house, I walked into the foyer area and there was a huge canvas with a pictures of us and the words, “Will You Marry Me” Printed towards the bottom. Doug pulled the ring out of his pocket (it wasn’t in a box – sneaky!) and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I, of course, said yes!! The New Year’s Eve party we planned with our friends then doubled as an engagement party!
To Doug & Danielle:
We had so much fun with you guys last week and love the way your images turned out! We hope you like them, too! Can’t wait for your wedding in just a few short months!! Until then, we hope you enjoy some of our favorites from your engagement session!
