Darren & Elizabeth
A November Engagement at Waterworks in Philadelphia, PA
We met Darren & Elizabeth on the steps behind the Philadelphia Museum of Art last week for their engagement session. They were so excited and a bit nervous, but it was something they were looking forward to for the entire week! We haven’t photographed an engagement session around Waterworks and the Art Museum in a really long time. Lately, we’ve shot a lot in Valley Forge Park, so this was a nice change of a pace.
Cescaphe Event Group has a venue here for a reason. It’s an absolute knockout of an area! You can shoot near boathouse row, the river, the art museum, and some cool grassy areas, but our favorite spot is this clifftop that overlooks the wedding venue, especially at sunset! Darren & Elizabeth are so friendly and outgoing that it made for a super easy session. They mastered all of our poses and were totally up for all the games and weird prompts we play. After the session, we ended up just chatting with them for almost an hour after the sun went down.
Their Proposal Story
Darren tied his tie, slipped on his suit jacket and was ready to go. It was July 8th, 2016, a night that will be remembered for a long, long time. Darren bought dozens of long stem roses and placed them all on the bed in the shape of a heart with their initials sitting in the middle. He was nervous and his heart was surely beating a million miles an hour. Naturally, Elizabeth said yes to his private, romantic proposal in their apartment in Los Angeles. They’re getting married July 2018.
To Darren & Elizabeth:
We had such a wonderful time with you both last week at your engagement session! Thanks for putting up with the cold weather and Philly traffic before Thanksgiving weekend. We cannot wait for your wedding, but until then, we hope you enjoy some off our favorites from your engagement session!
