Alex & Ramah
A Rainy Blue & Grey Wedding at The Barn on Bridge in Collegeville, PA
It was humid. The type of humid that makes your glasses fog up when you get out of the car. Those with glasses know exactly what we’re talking about. Those that don’t, consider yourself lucky! It’s the type of humid that brings the rain. The forecast called for it right around 4:30pm. That was during our scheduled portrait time with Alex & Ramah at The Barn on Bridge in Collegeville, PA. If you’ve seen our photos before, you know that almost 100% of our photos are taken outside in natural light, often with the sun shooting through the trees. That was not going to happen today and we were nervous because we really didn’t want to bring these two inside for portraits.
Thankfully, Alex & Ramah are literally the most easy going people on the planet. We’re not even joking! They are so go with the flow that there could’ve been a tornado outside and they probably would’ve pulled us outside to make sure we got a photo with them in front of the tornado. Anyway, we photographed their first look, and started portraits. We neared the end of their portrait time and all of a sudden felt the temperature drop. The wind began to blow harder and we knew we only had seconds before it started. We snapped one or two more photos and said, “Run. Go. Go.” Ramah & Alex already had umbrellas over their heads just in case, and Steph and I had some ready in case it started to downpour.
Our timing couldn’t have been more perfect! Just as our heads ducked under the canopy, it started. This was the type of rain that would have you soaked in 30 seconds or less. Thankfully we had enough time to do portraits and later it cleared up to do all of the bridal party & family portraits outdoors! Alex & Ramah exchanged vows, bright smiles and toasted with a beer at the end of the aisle as they walked out as husband & wife. We couldn’t be happier for them because after more than a decade of being together, they’re finally married!
To Alex & Ramah:
Thanks for being so easygoing! We loved spending every moment with you guys and are so happy for your future together! Your wedding was beautiful and we think the world of you both. Thanks for trusting us with your photographs! We hope you enjoy all of our favorites from your wedding day!
