A Rustic Farm Wedding

I want to start out by saying something that probably doesn’t need to be said. That is, we attend a lot of weddings. Since our first wedding over 5 years ago, we’ve photographed over 100 weddings. We’ve seen our fair share of crazy, stressful weddings and thankfully, more often than not, weddings that are filled with love and joy where stress doesn’t become a factor. Those stress free weddings are the best because the bride and groom’s heart for one another lead the wedding day in a manner that places the importance on their marriage and not on the extravagant details, the hair, makeup and dress. Everything falls to the side because the primary thing those couples care about are one another. Such was the case with Max + Katie.

Max + Katie are two balls of energy. They’re real. If you’re just meeting them, you already feel like you know them. Their personalities mesh together beautifully. They are so genuine, kind, goofy, intellectual, and as I mentioned before, energetic. They seriously know how to throw a party. And I mean a raging party. The entire reception was filled with guests dancing harder than we’ve ever seen before. The guests were even snagging apparel from the Photo Booth and danced with octopus hats, cowboy hats, sunglasses and giant bows on their heads. Max and Katie were the life of the party and it was some of the most fun we’ve had during a reception.

I told Max and Katie towards the end of the night that their wedding is one that I would photograph over and over again. They got married on Max’s family’s farm in Bucks County, PA. We couldn’t believe that this place wasn’t a wedding venue! It’s pretty much a perfect location for weddings. Their details, style, personalities and gorgeous location made this just one of the most fun weddings we’ve had the opportunity to photograph.
