Photographing Brian and Julia’s black tie affair at Ashford Estate in Allentown, NJ, as a third shooter for Bianca Tang Photography, was an absolute joy. Ashford Estate is a dream venue for couples who want their wedding day to have everything built right in. With its stunning architecture, from the Barn Chapel to the Carriage House and the Grand Ballroom, every corner of this venue oozes elegance and charm.

The day started with everyone getting ready on-site, which made everything so seamless. Julia got ready in the spacious bridal suite surrounded by her loved ones, a space so thoughtfully designed that it doubles as an inn for the wedding party. One of the most touching moments of the morning was Julia’s first look with her dad. She stepped outside the estate, radiant and full of joy, and the emotion between them was palpable.

Shortly after, Julia met Brian for their first look in front of the estate. Brian’s face lit up the moment he turned around to see her—it was pure love and happiness. Afterward, we explored the stunning grounds of Ashford Estate for portraits. From its wraparound porches and ornate iron gates to the treelined drive and manicured gardens, every spot served as a gorgeous backdrop. The bridal party, dressed in blush pink and classic black tuxes, added an elegant touch to the photos.

The ceremony took place on a picturesque lawn overlooking a reflecting pool. Brian and Julia exchanged vows surrounded by friends and family, beaming with joy as they exited as newlyweds. Cocktail hour was equally delightful, with guests enjoying drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and lively conversation in the sunroom and patio.

The reception inside the Grand Ballroom was an absolute stunner. White florals and candlelight created a romantic and timeless vibe as everyone celebrated with laughter, delicious food, and nonstop dancing.

Working alongside Bianca Tang was such a rewarding experience. As a third shooter, I had the freedom to focus on those unscripted, authentic moments—the laughter between friends, the quiet glances exchanged between Brian and Julia, and even the smallest details of the day. Capturing this beautiful celebration reminded me why I love weddings that prioritize connection and presence over perfection.
