Last wedding of 2019 was such a special one. We drove up to Lenhartsville, PA to photograph Nathan + Julia’s private, small and intimate wedding in her parent’s beautiful log cabin. There were still some traces of snow on the ground. Thankfully the wind wasn’t too bad despite the cold temperatures. We walked into the house and were greeted with warm smiles and excitement from the bustling cabin. Chairs filled the living room and decorations were scattered among the walls. This was the perfect location for such a wedding. Julia and her bridesmaids were prepping in an adjacent room. The sound of a ukulele and Allegra’s singing amplified from the bathroom walls drifted out into the living room. It was going to be a very good day.
Nathan + Julia shared a first look on the back deck overlooking the wonderful view of the farm land and horizon below. They lasted much longer than we expected outside. We can’t believe it was only 2 months ago that we were photographing their French Creek State Park engagement session. Steph and Julia worked together for a short amount of time at an elementary school in the area and Steph couldn’t wait to photograph Julia’s wedding. The ceremony began and 30 people crammed into the cozy living room. Smiles from the family and friends brightened the room as Nathan + Julia made their vows and promises to one another before being pronounced as husband and wife. The joy in the air was tangible. We loved being a part of this wedding day.
To Nathan + Julia:
