Backyard Wedding in Phoenixville

Joe + Desiree

Can I just say something? Backyard weddings are awesome! Celebrating your wedding day in a place that is meaningful to you is a great idea! Backyards can make such a great location for ceremonies and receptions. It’s a place that likely will remain in your life for years to come and you’ll be reminded of the celebration you shared in that place every time you’re there. Joe and Desiree decided to do just that. They had a backyard wedding in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania at Desiree’s parent’s home. It was a great backyard for the wedding where even the neighbors helped with some extra space, and parking.

They had a huge tent set up in the backyard. Aquilante’s Catering brought in the food. Even Bruster’s Ice Cream showed up for the last hour to serve some delicious treats. We finished the night off with sparklers up the driveway. The best part about these backyard weddings is that there are no rules. You can do whatever you want to do (as long as it’s legal, of course). The only rule you need to follow is noise ordinances which usually starts around 10pm. If you’re considering a backyard wedding, there’s never been a better time.

Joe and Desiree tied the knot married at St. Ann’s Church in Phoenixville just a few blocks from the home. It was here that our favorite moment from the wedding happened. As the doors swung open revealing Desiree and her dad, Joe began to cry. Wiping tears from his face, and trying to hold it together as best he could, Desiree walked towards him in excitement. After the initial shock of seeing his bride, his tears turning into the biggest smile. It was a wonderful and sweet moment. Hopefully the photos below do the moment justice.

To Joe + Desiree:

We loved celebrating with you both! You guys are so wonderful and you made us smile the entire day. Thanks for having infectious energy! We’re working on the rest of your photos and videos now, and we can’t wait to show you all of them, but until then, we hope you enjoy this little sneak peek from your backyard wedding in Phoenixville.
