Engagement at Longwood Gardens

Zack + Kelsey

We got together with Zack and Kelsey late last week for their engagement at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA! It was perfect weather and such a fun time! Longwood is so beautiful and has what seems like an endless number of backdrops. Zack and Kelsey crushed it and did such an awesome job in front of camera. Kelsey and Steph both went to West Chester University together, were both in the marching band/color guard and were in sister fraternities. We’ve photographed a lot of WCU grad’s weddings and we’re excited to add another awesome couple to that list!

Zack proposed to Kelsey outside of their home in Manayunk. They had moved there to be closer to Kelsey’s work in Philadelphia, and then the pandemic hit and work from home happened. He proposed on Labor Day weekend. The two of them went out ot brunch and came home to watch the Phillies game. He somehow was able to get her outside into a courtyard right near their home where he had a photographer waiting to capture the moment. She was super surprised and, of course, said yes. Now they’re planning their wedding later this year at The Philander Chase Knox Estate in Valley Forge Park.

When asked if they have any advice for couples planning their own weddings, they replied by saying that “you should do exactly what you want to do” for you wedding. And second, “to enjoy the little moments of planning together. To treat every venue visit, tasting, and vendor meeting as a date.” We wholeheartedly agree!
