Romantic Old City Engagement

We met up with Eric and Paulina for their romantic Old City engagement Philadelphia the other day and had the best time. Thankfully we were able to dodge another rainy night having had to reschedule our session the week earlier. We ended up with a much nicer, and cooler evening down around the Merchant Exchange Building and First Bank of the United States area in Old City. It’s one of my favorite locations and I love shooting here every chance I get. Both Eric and Paulina killed it in front of camera and gave in to all the ridiculous prompts we threw their way. The photos feel full of joy and excitement and their personalities really shine through, I think! Can’t wait for their wedding later this year!

Q: How did the proposal happen? Give us the story!

Eric and I flew to Nice, France for a vacation. We are big travelers so I didn’t think anything of this trip. During our first day we spent the morning and afternoon exploring Nice on a good and wine tour. Towards the end of the tour our guide said “time for dessert” and we started walking toward the beach. I thought to myself “oh there must be a gelato place over here somewhere.” All the sudden she asked to take our picture and when I turned around I saw Eric down on one knee and thought omg it’s happening!

Q: What’s the best part about being engaged?

The best part of being engaged is all the love surrounding it. We love how happy others are for us. We also just love calling each other fiancé.

Q: Any advice for other couples getting married that you can share from your experience wedding planning?

Take your time with planning! It can be so stressful but explore all your options and have fun with it! It’s your special day with the one you love so enjoy the process and make it what you want.
