Phil & Ally
We met up with Phil and Ally earlier this week for a fun engagement in Old City, Philadelphia. These two were such a sweet, go-with-the-flow, up for anything type of couple that took every ridiculous prompt and pose I threw at them with a smile on their face. They were complete naturals and crushed it throughout the entire session. 10/10 would shoot with them every day of the week!
Q: Tell us the proposal story! How did it all happen?
Phil and I went to Nashville last fall for a weekend getaway. We decided to go on a hike one day because there were some trails with huge waterfalls. But when we got there, the big waterfall was all dried up. (Thats where he originally planned to propose.) We ended up finding a private lookout point and as I was saying how scared I was of the heights, Phil got down on one knee and popped the question! I was a little suspicious when he took a little too long to get water out of his backpack while we were enjoying the view, but it was the perfect private proposal.
Q: What’s the best part about being engaged?
Since we got engaged, we purchased our first house together! Making that our home has been the most rewarding part of being engaged. We love being able to host our friends and family in a place we can officially call ours!
Q: Any advice for our couples planning their own wedding?
Start planning as early as possible. Not only do venues/vendors book out far in advance but it also helps to reduce the stress of planning a wedding. Also go with your gut! If something feels right, do it (or vise versa)! But mostly, enjoy being with your person! This is such a special time, and it goes by so quickly. Make time for each other between the stress and excitement of wedding planning.
