Summer 2014 Top 5 Highlights

Hey friends! We can’t believe that it is September already! Summer came & went so fast. It’s back to school work since Josiah has one more year of school left & Steph just got a job as a teacher’s aid in a local elementary school. Our summer was full of fun & excitement & travel. Josiah got to travel with his colleagues from Regent University to shoot some marketing videos & Steph traveled to California with family to visit more family. Summer 2014 was definitely a memorable summer, but our favorite memories are the ones we created together! Without further ado, our top 5 summer 2014 highlights (not in any particular order)!

1. Steph Graduating

Steph graduated from West Chester University on May 10th! It was such an exciting day & a huge milestone in our lives. At this point, we were engaged for two months & the only things that felt like roadblocks to marriage were two college graduations. One down, one to go! May 9th can’t come fast enough. You can take a look at a pre-graduation photoshoot we did with Steph’s friends here or check out her actual graduation day here!

2. Disney

We went to Disney World! We took a trip in May to the happiest place on earth. We ditched the cameras, the real world & went to the place best known for making dreams come true. Pure nostalgia! We loved every second of the trip & cannot wait to go back!

3. Serve 2014

One of our highlights was our week as leaders on a mission trip to Vermont. We hung out with some cool high school kids, served the community and worshipped God through the process. We have done this the past 10 years and this year was no different, except that we were now leaders and not students.

4. Beach Weekend

Every year Josiah’s family takes a week vacation down at the Jersey shore. We headed down on Saturday night after shooting a wedding. It was sooooo nice to relax after a long wedding day. Wish we could make that a tradition, or get a hot tub. Hot tub would be much cheaper. We love sitting on the beach & reading & just all around relaxing. We were able to shoot a senior session for our friend, Carly, while we were there & had a mini family session with Josiah’s family. It was an all around good week!

5. Weddings

We only shot two weddings this summer. These two weddings have been two of the most enjoyable and exciting weddings we have shot thus far. The people were amazing & it’s weddings like these that makes us love to do what we do.
