5 Shows To Binge Watch On A Rainy Day

It’s a bit rainy here in our neck of the woods and all we want to do is curl up on the couch, have a cup of tea and stream our favorite tv shows on our Apple TV! We love doing this in general, but there is just something about rainy days that makes us long for a comfy couch, a blanket, ice cream and an entertaining show! So today we are sharing our 5 shows to binge watch on a rainy day!

1. FRIENDS

Friends is one of the best shows on the planet! Everyone can relate to the situations these characters get themselves into and everyone knows someone like nerdy Ross, or the ever hungry Joey, and the weird girl Phoebe! We love watching episode after episode of Chandler cracking jokes, Rachel trying to pretend she doesn’t love Ross and Monica screaming “I Know!” It is just one of those shows that makes us want to hang with them at Central Perk! The best is that the entire series is on Netflix!

2. Bear Grylls

We recently fell in love with watching Bear survive in the wild and sometimes he brings along friends! Bear has a show on NBC called “Running Wild with Bear Grylls” where random celebrities will join Bear on a 2 day expedition to face their fears! Some celebrities include Kate Hudson, Zach Efron, James Marsden, and even President Barrack Obama! Now there aren’t a ton of episodes from Running Wild, but there are a few seasons of “Man vs. Wild” that you can stream on Hulu! Bear is super lovable and though he may get some flack for some of the gross things he does to survive, we really admire his knowledge and bravery, plus you never know when you’ll be stuck in the wild!

3. American Ninja Warrior

If you ever need motivation to workout, then this is the show to watch! Competitors attempt the toughest obstacle course ever created!! It doesn’t look that hard watching it, but we know for a fact that couldn’t do it! The people that go on this show are ripped! Seriously, they have the body we wish we had! They’re chiseled! But we’re just a little too lazy maybe… so we love cheering for them from the comfort of our couch! It airs on Esquire Network sometimes all day, but you may be able to find it On Demand under the network NBC! Just a warning, you will feel ready to hit the gym after watching this show!

4. Modern Family

The Dunphy family is our favorite family in America! We wish we were part of the family! This show makes us laugh harder than pretty much any other show on TV! There is no end to the witty comments by Phil and the hilarious situations he and his family gets themselves into. If you want a laugh out loud tv show to watch then this mockumentary style show is for you! And they incorporate a great life lesson into every episode! It’s the perfect pick me up show for a rainy day! You can find this show on Hulu and On Demand under ABC Network.

5. Sherlock

One of the best well written shows that exists! Sherlock stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman in a modern day adaptation of England’s greatest detective, Sherlock Holmes! If you are looking for a good mystery mixed with comedic moments and dramatic reveals, then this is the show for you! Each episode is an hour and a half so you’re pretty much watching a movie, but there are only 3 episodes a season and there are only 3 seasons! After watching all of them, you’ll be ready to start bugging the BBC for more! We definitely recommend stopping by 221 Baker Street to see what Sherlock has been up to, or you can just visit him on Netflix!
