Favorite Wedding Venues of 2015

Our Top 5

Whether it be a barn, ballroom or backyard, the wedding venue is the centerpiece that sets the tone for the entire wedding day! Last year, every wedding we photographed was at a venue we had never been before, which made for some challenges, but also for some great connections. There were some venues that we loved and some we just liked, but we’re only going to talk about the ones that we would love to shoot at again! These are our top five favorite wedding venues of 2015!

1. Blue Mountain

There is too much good to say about Blue Mountain. First off, it’s a mountain! You’re getting married at a mountain! That is insane! It is a beautiful venue, with tons of photo opportunities and backdrops. The food is delicious and the staff is so nice! The wedding coordinators and event managers there, Meg de Jesus & Emily Gerber, are incredible! Enlist in their help because they will take a lot of weight off your shoulders! The reception area may actually be our favorite reception location! It’s huge, beautifully decorated and there are windows everywhere! It’s gorgeous! You definitely will not be disappointed if you get married at Blue Mountain! We have a wedding there this August and cannot wait!

2. The Manor House at Commonwealth Horsham

This place is huge! There is a ton of room for your guests to enjoy time inside during the cocktail hour, in another room during the reception, and there are a few other rooms if people want to use them. Trust us, no one will be crammed! There is even a beautiful back deck overlooking the grounds! When we were there for a recent wedding, it rained and we were able to take nearly all the photos on the deck and got great results! The food was great and so was the staff! We would love to shoot there again!

3. The William Penn Inn

The William Penn Inn was an awesome place to photograph a wedding! They have weddings indoor and outdoor, I believe. When we were there in the August, the wedding was set up for outdoors and it was stunning! We photographed a somewhat smaller wedding and the reception took place in their smaller of two ballrooms, but it was the perfect size for this wedding. They have an even larger ballroom in the same building if you are having a normal to larger wedding! Don’t even get us started on the food! It was amazing! We are shooting a wedding there later this year and we can’t wait!

2. The Farm at Eagle’s Ridge

The Farm at Eagle’s Ridge is located out in Lancaster, PA. They have a beautiful getting ready house for the both the bride & bridesmaids and groom & groomsmen to get ready in. The girls get ready upstairs and the guys downstairs. It is complete with a full kitchen in case you’re hungry. Next door to the house is a beautiful, gigantic red barn! There is a patio area outside of the barn for people to hang out and talk. Behind the house and barn is a pond with a dock and lots of fields with trees. It is a stunning location! Everything about this place was beautiful!

1. La Masseria at Bella Vista

We shot our first wedding of 2015 at La Masseria at Bella Vista. It’s a golf course located in Gilbertsville, PA. It has a beautiful house for the girls to get ready in. Next to that is a barn style building with a cocktail area downstairs and the reception room upstairs. Outside of the barn is a place for an outdoor ceremony on the patio and behind the barn is the beautiful golf course grounds perfect for bride and groom photos! They had delicious food, great decor and a wonderful staff. We would love to shoot there again!
