Our Favorite Disney Rides

Our Top 5

If you’ve been following us on Instagram and Facebook, then you know that we were just in Disney World photographing our sister, Tina, get engaged! We got to spend the entire day with them in Magic Kingdom and then went off on our own for the rest of the weekend before returning home to PA. It was a blast! There is so, so much to do in Disney, between the rides, attractions, shows, and characters! We shared with you guys some tips already, but now wanted to share with you some of our favorite rides from Disney World!

1. Tower of Terror

If you love adrenaline, then this is the ride for you. Josiah loves this ride while Steph… not so much. This ride takes you into the Twilight Zone on a tour through the Hollywood Tower Hotel. While in the elevator, the building is struck by lightning plummeting you from the top floor, all the way to the bottom. The suspense and anticipation is terrifyingly good and the fact that your butt leaves the seat when you’re in free fall is ridiculous! It is so. much. fun!

2. Star Tours

This ride is incredible! Josiah cannot wait for Disney to build the rest of their Star Wars attractions and entire section in Hollywood Studios! Star Tours puts you in the cockpit behind C-3PO as he takes you on a trip throughout the galaxy, but one of the others riding with you is a rebel spy and as you leave the hanger, the Empire tries and stops you. You escape and are taken throughout the galaxy trying to escape the Empire’s grasp. The coolest part about this ride is that it’s always different. Each time you go to hyperspace, they change the locations and you’re never sure where you’ll end up next. They have also included a scene and location from The Force Awakens! This ride is a must if you’re ever in Hollywood Studios!

3. Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin

Anyone else grow up on Toy Story, Woody & Buzz? We did and this ride is super cool. It’s a two person ride, sitting in a single “car” with laser guns attached the front. The goal: to shoot the evil emperor Zerg targets. You get points based on how many times you hit the targets and I think based on how accurate you hit the target. Steph destroyed me and won like 140,000 to like 93,000. I didn’t stand a chance, but it’s a ton of fun! It’s located in Tomorrowland!

4. Test Track

Anyone have a need… a need for speed? Test Track allows you to digitally customize your car and then race it! It is a load of fun. You get to go through a series of tests to determine how well your car is built: capability, efficiency, responsiveness and power. You get to go pretty fast, too which is a ton of fun! Test Track is located in Epcot, but to be safe, try save eating lunch or dinner until after the ride.

5. Mission Space

Also located in Epcot is Mission: Space! This ride will fulfill your dreams of traveling to space and back! Seriously, it’s like you’re in a cockpit in the space shuttle, strapped to your chair, and it releases 2.5G’s of force, which we’re sure is nothing compared to an actual shuttle launch… but it’s cool to think it’s real. We could go on this ride all day. It’s so much fun and allows you to become an astronaut for the day!
