A Charming Engagement at Washington’s Crossing
New Hope is such a beautifully charming place. There’s a lot of really cute little shops and quaint little streets and neighborhoods, but it’s also pretty historical. Sam & Lexi decided to have their shoot at Washington’s Crossing. This is supposedly where Washington and his men crossed the Delaware river during the revolutionary war. You’ve seen the iconic painting of Washington doing the Captain Morgan while his men push chunks of ice out of the way, I’m sure. It’s a cute little area with buildings and houses that look authentic to the 1700s, the river and some fields. The entire area started glowing at sunset as the sun shown through the trees. It was beautiful and a photographers dream lighting scenario. Sam & Lexi brought their puppy with them. She was so well behaved and stared right at my camera whenever I tried to get her attention. She was adorable.
Their Engagement Story: As Told By Lexi
My best suggest a double date to Longwood Gardens, so that’s exactly what we did. The day we went was the day of a blizzard. It took almost an hour longer to get there since the road conditions and traffic. We finally arrived and posed for a picture inside the park. Sam then turned and I said, “Oh my god. Is this happening right now?!” And it was. He arranged for a photographer friend of ours to be there. She walked around with her hood and glasses on until the moment happened, so I didn’t realize she was even there. Then we met up with my parents and o there close friends at a bar in Philly. I was in complete shock because he told me he had some trip planned for the weekend after so I did not even think it would potentially happen when it did!
To Sam & Lexi:
We had the best time with you both, and your adorable puppy! We love the way your photos turned out and we cannot wait to show you the rest of them. Your wedding is going to be so beautiful, too and will be here before you know it. Until then, we hope you enjoy some of our favorites from your engagement session!
