A Staten Island Wedding at A Taste of Honey

When Kara reached out to us about her Staten Island engagement party turned surprise wedding, we had a lot of thoughts all at once. How would this work? What are you planning? But mostly it was “what a cool thing to do!” Daniel & Kara decided to keep their wedding a complete secret from everyone, other than close family and a friend or two. The surprise certainly paid off as the entire room audibly reacted in gasps and “what!?” as the DJ made the opening statement. What an awesome moment to have the privilege to capture.

Daniel & Kara are two of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. They treated us like family from the moment we met them. We couldn’t be more happy for them. Their vows to one another had us smiling from ear to ear and without a doubt go down as one of the most heartfelt vows we’ve ever heard. These two are truly perfect for one another. Watching them smile all day during portraits, wipe tears from each others cheeks and dance like there was no tomorrow was such a joy to witness.
