A Whimsical Terrain Gardens Micro Wedding

Michael + Brynn

Get ready for a whole lot of pretty! Michael + Brynn’s whimsical micro wedding at Terrain Gardens in Devon, PA was a dream to photograph! First off, I must be honest. These two didn’t book us. They hired our friend, Drew, who often we bring along as our videographer. This time, however, the tables have turned and Drew brought me (Josiah) along to help him photograph and film Michael + Brynn’s wedding. Since it was just the two of us, I focused on the photography and Drew focused on the video. I must say, I’m pretty proud of how this wedding turned out considering I didn’t have Steph with me.

The Venue

Terrain Gardens was a dream location to photograph a wedding. If I could work weddings here every weekend, I 100% would! The backdrops, lighting, design, and staff make this venue one of my favorites that I’ve ever had the chance to work at. Plus, we got to work with one of our favorite planners, Kristina Wittig. Having a planner makes your wedding so much easier to plan and host because you’ll have a dedicated person or team to intervene and make sure things run as smoothly as possible. They also make our lives as photographers easier because we have someone to ask about all the little things you don’t want to deal with on the wedding day. We can’t recommend Kristina enough!

I was a little nervous going into this wedding because I had never met or photographed Michael + Brynn. The day of the wedding was the first time meeting them. Normally we have an engagement session with our couples and spend time getting to know them. Going in blind is a little nerve-racking. To our surprise, Michael + Brynn were like magic in the front of the camera. They were full of smiles, great laughter, and were completely up for everything we asked of them. I am so thrilled with how all of their photos turned out and working with them was such a joy.

Here’s to hoping we get to photograph a normal or micro wedding at Terrain Gardens in Devon, PA again soon!
