Engagement in Downtown Bethlehem

We met up with Hunter + Liz last week for their engagement in downtown Bethlehem. Honestly, we weren’t sure if it was even going to happen because the weather was looking iffy and rescheduling would’ve been tricky since Hunter is in school out in Indiana. Thankfully the weather shifted in our favor and we had a beautiful night with gorgeous lighting in really pretty location. Bethlehem is a cute little town and it’s right around where Hunter grew up so he was very familiar with everything. He practically gave us a little tour of the town which was cool. These two did such a great job in front of camera and we can’t wait for their wedding next year!

Q: How did Hunter propose?

Hunter is getting his Master’s at Notre Dame in Indiana, so we were seeing each other about once a month. One of my friends got married at the beginning of October, so I wasn’t expecting to see him for a couple weeks. On 10/24/20, I was going to go to his grandmother’s house that night to celebrate his aunt’s birthday. His sister asked me if I wanted to get drinks with her beforehand. So we went for drinks in downtown Bethlehem, and drove over to his grandparent’s.

On the way over she asked if I wanted to go inside the house (we were doing all get togethers outside because of COVID), to look at Grammy’s Halloween decorations. When we got there we were in the living room looking around and Hunter comes out from the hallway and says “Hey”. I dropped what I had in my hands and ran over to hug him. He got down on one knee, his sister snapped a couple pics and ran out. Then he had this super nice speech which I remember nothing of. We spent a couple minutes in the house after just taking it all in. Then we head back where my family and his family were waiting to celebrate!

Q: What’s the best part about being engaged?

The best part is picking out the details for our big day like finding the little stuff like music and small details that show our personalities.

Q: Do you have any advice for other couples planning their own wedding?

Our advice would be to not stress, and that everything works out how it’s supposed to.
