Wedding at Glen Foerd

After multiple setbacks and postponements, and getting married for real in their home in Philadelphia during the pandemic, Zach and Liz finally got to have their wedding at Glen Foerd on the Delaware last weekend! Rain was in the forecast. We weren’t sure how it’d fair, and if we’re being honest, we were really worried for them. After all this time waiting, and all those plans forced to be cancelled, we really wanted a beautiful wedding day for them. Whether it was divine intervention, or just sheer luck, and despite the dreary forecast, no rain hit the area and they were able to have their ceremony outside under the most beautifully decorated tree just outside the mansion. We were so relieved! It was a wonderful little ceremony where poems were read and Zach and Liz rededicated themselves to one another after a year of being married.

This was our first time at Glen Foerd and it was an incredible location! We could’ve spent hours shooting in all the various spots both indoor and out. I have to say that one of my favorite things about this venue is that if it did rain, they have some really gorgeous indoor locations, some of which have some great natural light. It’s a great location if you are looking for a venue with an awesome rainy day backup plan. Luckily, we didn’t have to use it, but it was there if needed.

We loved watching Zach and Liz with one another. One of the sweetest moments was during the first look when Zach finally got to see his bride in her wedding dress for the first time. They wore different outfits during their in home wedding last year, and Liz finally got to put on the wedding dress she originally chose. Zach’s reaction was great (you’ll see what we mean)! It just looked like they both had the best time with one another, celebrating with friends and family, and enjoying the day they had been looking forward to for so long. We couldn’t be any happier for them!
