Wedding at The Carriage House

Oh boy. Get ready for a giant blog post from Matt + Taylor’s wedding at The Carriage House in Galloway, NJ from this past weekend. Seriously, there are a lot of images that we’re showing off below because we just couldn’t narrow it down. And these aren’t even all of our favorites.

Matt + Taylor’s wedding really started for us on Thursday evening. They brought Josiah out to photograph the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. This isn’t something we do very often, and Josiah loved it! He got to meet family and close friends of the couple. The huge benefit to this was that he was already familiar with everyone when we showed up on the wedding day. We’re not sure why, but when you see someone for the second time, everything just feels so much easier and more natural. So it was great to meet everyone on Thursday and then get to photograph them all again on Saturday.

Best of all, we felt like we were truly part of the friend group and were treated like family. Heck, we got hugs from the parents at the end of the night and that meant a lot to us because we just felt so welcomed into this special and personal day. It was truly a joy to photograph this wedding for Matt and Taylor who are so incredibly fun. It was also wonderful to shoot for all of the friends and family alongside them. We often say we’re not just shooting for the couple, but for all the friends and family that support them. These friends and family made us smile and laugh constantly throughout the wedding day. We felt so welcomed and loved by them.

There are too many favorite moments to recall from this day. Whether it’s Matt starting to dance during portraits with a drink in hand, to Taylor’s gigantic smile after they kiss as husband and wife for the first time on the alter, or even to the room erupting with laughter at some joke’s made by Matt’s brother during his toast. It was an all around incredible wedding day and one that we wish we could go back and shoot over and over again. The venue was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and the people involved were absolutely wonderful. Matt + Taylor’s happiness was infectious and so was the excitement from the rest of the family and bridal party. It was great energy to be around.
