150 Real Wedding Moments From 2022

Another wedding season is in the books! Our business had the chance to document 31 weddings ranging from small and intimate elopements, to huge celebrations. It was such an honor to photograph every single one of these weddings you’ll see below. Every year we like to do a year in review. In past years we’ve focused on the images that we find the most beautiful in regards to details, or portraits, and things like that. We blog every wedding and session we photograph throughout the year, so if you want to see a broader view or our work, you can view that here. While those things are great, we decided to take a different approach for this “best of” blog post and focus solely on real moments. Every photo below is a candid moment we photographed that we either prompted, or captured as it happened naturally.

Our style of photography aims to be natural, timeless, genuine and real. We want the images we capture to be full of life, that you can feel when you experience them. We took more risks in this regard this year than ever before and love the work we created. It’s funny though because we didn’t realize until we started selecting these images that so many of them are in black and white. Apparently the images we decided to make black and white end up being moments we really want to emphasize as real and candid. Black and white preserves these timeless moments and so you’ll see a lot of black and whites below.

One of the books we received as a gift over the holidays is a wedding photography book by John Dolan, a legend in the wedding photography world. His book covers his wedding photography from the last 30+ years of shooting. His book breaks a wedding into three parts: Preparation, Unification, and Celebration. We decided to follow the same structure for this blog post. So without further ado, here’s 150 real wedding moments from 2022.
