Johnny & Kate
We had the absolute pleasure of photographing Johnny & Kate’s wonderful celebration last Saturday. Their beautiful wedding at Philander Chase Knox Estate may have had a few sprinkles right before the ceremony, but these two didn’t let the weather bother them one bit. Johnny and Kate are so lovely, and two of the kindest souls you’ll ever get the chance to meet. I forgot how easy they were to photograph and the moment they set foot in front of our lens again, they immediately sank into each other’s arms and just allowed themselves to be present with each other.
Actually, that is what I loved most about this entire wedding day, just how immensely available and present they were with one another, their families, and their friends. Kate and Johnny love their people and will drop anything at a moment’s notice to help those they love. This is a quality I’m sure was passed down from each of their parents for they were equally as welcoming and friendly to us. In fact, every person we interacted with made the two of us feel like friends rather than just random people photographing the wedding. Their wedding day was so special, and we loved being a part of every moment, big or small, and documenting this milestone in their lives.

We are so incredibly happy for you! Both of us couldn’t stop commenting either throughout the day just how truly happy you both looked and that joy is infectious. Your smiles made us smile constantly. Thank you for trusting us with your photos, and for welcoming us into your wedding day celebration as friends. We’re so grateful for you both and for your families.
