Justin & Daphne
Justin and Daphne’s fall engagement in Brooklyn was so wonderful! Their love story started at NYU, and their engagement session felt like a love letter to New York City. They found us through their friends, Andrew & Annika, whose wedding we photographed a few years ago. Now, it was their turn to step in front of the camera.
They live in Brooklyn and wanted the city to be the backdrop for their engagement session. We kicked things off in Washington Square Park at sunset, taking photos on the lawn and in front of the fountain. From there, we stopped by some NYU buildings, capturing moments where their story began.
Onto Brooklyn
Next, we hopped on the subway to Brooklyn and made our way to the waterfront near Jane’s Carousel. The Manhattan skyline stretched behind them, golden hour light making everything feel even more magical. The sunset was perfect, casting a warm glow over the docks.
After soaking in the Brooklyn views, we caught the subway back to Manhattan. Some of my favorite shots came from the subway and the platform, where the movement and grit of the city created a cinematic feel. Justin and Daphne were an absolute joy to photograph. They were kind, playful, and completely in sync. They’re planning a destination wedding in 2025, and while New York won’t be their wedding backdrop, it was the perfect place to capture this season of their love.
Justin and Daphne, thank you for trusting us with your story. Your engagement session was a dream, and we can’t wait to see where life takes you next!
