A Colorful Engagement In Valley Forge Park

Get ready for the most perfect light of all time! We couldn’t have asked for a better day to photograph Kevin & Lindsay in Valley Forge National Park!! It was 80 degrees with a light breeze and incredible light! We even got these two in the creek! That’s the second time this week! These two are so cute and just a bundle of energy! Lindsay couldn’t stop laughing and smiling the entire time and while Kevin is definitely more stoic, we were able to get him to smile a bit, too! They’re getting married at The Barn on Bridge in June! We were married there, too! We’re so excited to shoot there twice over the next 6 weeks!

Their Engagement Story

As part of our first date, Kevin took me to his favorite bar, Tired Hands in Ardmore. Subsequently, many a milestone and celebration took place at Tired Hands over the two plus years we dated leading up to our engagement. It truly became “our spot”. On Easter weekend of 2016, Kev mentioned that we were going to the brewery to celebrate a family event. He left to “go early to set up” and after dropping him off, and much to my surprise, we were actually the only two people there and he was down on one knee by the table we sat at during our very first date. Our song played in the background and the bartenders turned photographers (sorry, Josiah & Steph ) to capture everything. After 10-15 minutes of celebrating on our own, Kevin continued the surprise by inviting all of our closest friends and family to celebrate with us, which continued up until the wee hours of the next morning!
