Frank & Kait
Urban & Country Engagement | Phoenixville & Valley Forge National Park
We had the most perfect day for an engagement session! It was a beautiful Saturday evening and the weather was warm, a light breeze and hardly any humidity! We couldn’t have asked for a better day. What started out as cloudy soon turned into beautiful sunlight. Frank & Kait are naturals. They nailed every pose we threw at them and had huge smiles on their face every time. We love laughing with these two! They are so sweet, goofy and easy going that it made shooting with them a breeze! We had to keep checking the clock to make sure we stayed on track and didn’t lose time because with them, time really flew by! We love when that happens because we know that we’re such a good fit with that couple! The session began in an urban setting in the middle of Phoenixville where we grabbed ice cream with them before shooting at the Phoenixville Foundry. Then we headed over to a more country setting at Valley Forge National Park! Frank & Kait are getting married at The Anthony Wayne House in Paoli this September which is a beautiful country setting on which is an historic estate. We can’t wait!
Their Story:
Frank & Kait met at work in Jan 2013 shorty after Kait was hired. Frank first started working there a few months earlier. They worked in the same department…reporting to the same person. Frank & Kait soon began to develop feelings for one another, but had some reservations about dating, but their feelings won out! Their first kiss was that July after the yearly company picnic when Frank insisted on giving her a ride home. They didn’t “officially” get together until that later that December, and decided to keep their relationship a secret from everyone at work for over a year until they moved in together since they had to change their address with HR anyway. They just recently bought a house in May and live with their dog, Luna, who they rescued in August.
Frank & Kait spend their summer weekends at Frank’s parent’s beach house. It was a normal day like any other. Frank & Kait hung out on the beach for part of the day before going to dinner at their favorite wood fired pizza place. When they returned to the beach house, the back yard was draped in lights with photos of the two of them or photos Frank had taken of Kait (he likes to take pictures of her when she’s NOT camera ready). Frank began to propose and said that at first he took pictures of Kait just to goof around, but soon knew he was taking pictures of her for the proposal months and years in advance! Then he finally asked, and she said yes!
Frank & Kait, we love you guys and had a blast shooting with you this past weekend! You both did a fabulous job and we cannot wait to spend some more time with you on your wedding day coming up this September! Until then, we hope you enjoy some of our favorite images from your engagement session!
