A Grey & Lavender Wedding at Historic Acres of Hershey

June 30th will officially go down as the hottest wedding day we’ve ever been a part of! Fazad & Lauren married out doors in the 100 degree heat at the Historic Acres of Hershey. It was the most gorgeous venue and we hope we get to photograph another wedding here on a much cooler day. This wedding was a bit different, too. Steph was in the wedding party and so I flew solo most of the day. It was by choice because I wanted Steph to feel like she was attending a wedding rather than working one. She did join me for portraits and some reception dancing photos so she did have my back if I needed her.

Fazad & Lauren decided on grey and lavender for their colors. It fit in so perfectly with the venue and the time of year. The greens, grey and lavender really popped when next to each other. It was honestly so difficult to take a bad picture with these two, the venue and the colors all coordinating with one another. Choosing a favorite moment of the day is difficult. We loved watching the parent dances. Lauren and her father mixed it up half way and got a bit silly as you’ll see below. But Fazad and his mother stayed traditional as his mother buried her head in his shoulder. Dancing with my mom was one of the my favorites moments of my wedding day so moments like this get me.

We would have to say that overall, our favorite moment was their vows to one another. They were so heartfelt and emotional. Tears weren’t just coming from their faces, but from guests in the audience as well (and maybe the photographer behind the camera). It was a beautiful moment that we hope is portrayed in the photos below. The love these two have for each other is astounding. They’ve dealt with long distance, busy schedules and stressful lives, but at 9 years together they are finally married!
