Black Tie Wedding at Union Trust Ballroom

Preston & Hannah

We had the honor of photographing Preston and Hannah’s black tie wedding at Union Trust Ballroom in Philadelphia. Their day felt elegant, emotional, and deeply rooted in the city they love. We started our morning at Hotel Monaco. Preston wore a sharp mix of suit separates. Black tux pants and a white dinner jacket. He looked classic and confident. Hannah’s floral appliqué dress stole the show. Her shimmering cathedral veil trailed behind her with every step. Their wedding brought a classic vintage art deco vibe. Very old Hollywood. Preston channeled Bogart from Casablanca, pulling it off perfectly.

An Emotional First Look in Old City

Their first look took place at the steps of the 2nd Bank of the United States. They were all smiles and full of joy seeing each other for the first time. They followed this up by reading private and personal vows to one another which was so sweet to capture. We switched up locations, walking behind the 2nd Bank for more portraits with family and wedding party photos. Groomsmen wore classic black tuxes. Bridesmaids shined in sage green dresses. The contrast worked beautifully with their maroon, blush, and white floral palette.

Ceremony & Celebration

The ceremony took place at Old Pine Presbyterian Church. This is their home church. The space felt sacred and intimate, reflecting the heart of their relationship. Afterward, guests traveled to Union Trust Ballroom for a candlelit dinner. The room glowed with warm light and timeless architecture. Preston and Hannah shared their first dance alone in the center of the floor as guests watched from the cocktail hour balcony, making for a cinematic and emotional moment.

Heartfelt toasts followed and had everyone laughing and crying. Hannah slipped away for a quick dress change. Then the dance floor erupted as the DJ kicked off the party. We ended the night feeling grateful. Their celebration honored history, family, and connection. We felt lucky to capture every second.

Preston and Hannah’s black tie wedding at Union Trust Ballroom was one we’ll never forget. We couldn’t be happier for these two!
