Patrick and Julia’s elegant black tie wedding at Overbrook Golf Club in Villanova, Pennsylvania was breathtaking. Talk about a dream wedding for us to photograph! Not just because it was hands down one of the most gorgeous weddings we’ve been a part of, but because it’s a wedding for a friend. Julia and Josiah went to high school together, and graduated together back in 2011. Photographing weddings for friends and people we know is so special for us. The last few years we’ve had the wonderful opportunity to photograph multiple weddings for a few of Julia’s close friends and other people Josiah knew from school like Ali + Ryan in 2019 (who both tear it up on the dance floor) and Vince + Grace earlier this year (two of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet). These weddings have been some of our all time favorites and we’ve looked forward to Patrick + Julia’s for quite a while!

Patrick and Julia have some serious style. I mean, they looked great at their engagement session last year, but they really blew us away at their wedding. From incredible black tuxes (complete with Jets cufflinks) to some stunning emerald Gucci heels that Julia scored secondhand at a discount (and that’s the best way to do it), this wedding was so classic, clean, and elegant. The venue itself has so much charm built in. Overbrook Golf Club in Villanova is tucked back on a beautiful property and feels like you’ve stepped onto an English countryside estate. The style and aesthetic of both the interior and exterior is already such a vibe that your decor can be really simple and nothing will feel missing.

This wedding had so many highlights for us. Watching Julia share a first look with her dad, and seeing her grandmother laugh throughout the day was certainly a highlight. Patrick smiling and dancing with his mom, laughing way too hard with his groomsmen, and just being overall really excited to see Julia was another. And of course, hanging out on the dance floor with all of the people we’ve met throughout weddings past and former classmates of Josiah’s was an absolute joy. Wish we could go back and do it all over again!
