The location of your engagement session is up to you! The first thing to decide is whether you’d like to feature a more urban setting or a country setting. PA is an amazing place because it allows for a multitude of great backdrops! Countryside is nearby regardless of where you are in the state and between Philadelphia, West Chester and other places there are so many great city settings.

Last week we gave you ladies some tips and advice on dressing for your engagement session! We’re following that up with how to prep your groom for the session before we jump into some style tips for him next week. By now you know if your man likes getting his picture taken or if he’s more camera shy. Either way, we’ll make sure he is comfortable, but there is some homework that we suggest you do on your end to make our job a little easier and to make your groom excited about the engagement session.

Finding a photographer can be just as difficult as choosing your venue. In some ways it is more difficult because you can’t see the final photographs from your wedding before it happens. You have to rely on them to deliver beautiful images based on the work they’ve done in the past. At least when you are choosing on a venue you know what it will look like when they give you a tour of the location. But photography changes based on the light, the timing, and so many other variables, therefore, it’s important to find a photographer you trust will provide the beautiful images that you’ve seen them produce on their website, but it’s also vital for you to feel a connection to them.
